Hi...Close the fallboard (lid that covers keys), then open top lid.
Then remove the front facing top panel (either wooden or metal turnbuckes behind to disconnect it) - then lift up the fallboard & remove, - then take a photo of the mechanism fairly close up from the front. Also, look for a serial number - about 5 digits in length (possibly starting 4XXXX) .... near the tuning pegs. Need serial number to date it - the other number you gave is incorrect. (Please dont just take a photo from the top looking down) - the front panel needs to be removed. Take care not to break the retaining lugs/ dowels - as often if the turnbuckles are loose, they swing back into the locked position.

Also, I notice that the bottom & top panels do not seem to fit correctly? there are gaps in places, and at the bottom, I can see the retaining lug holes for the bottom panel.?
I suspect this is a 100 year old piano with a modernised 50's/60's front & top and legs ..... but I may be wrong until we can see inside.

Please dont bother showing further damage. scratches etc.... pianos can not be valued here (see blue box at top) - you need to make an appointment with a piano tuner, who must make an on-the-spot assessment & tune it.

we really do need to see pandora's box opened..
Don't think it is modernised as the top corners seem to be veneered not painted! we'll see
Our mission in life is to tune customers--not pianos.

Any fool can make a piano-- it needs a tuner to put the music in it
