Schlesinger upright from Russell & Son, Leicester
Post by paulstefan »
Hi there,
I have just acquired an old upright Schlesinger piano (number 27697) and am very interested in finding out how old it is and also about the history of Schlesinger and WMH Russell and Son in Leicester who I presume originally supplied it.
If anyone can help/give advice I would really appreciate it.
Many thanks in advance,
Paul

Russell's firm became "& son" in the late thirties, I don't have any information about Schlesinger ready on computer, but I will see what I can find.

I can't find any dates of Schlesinger's number, and I have nothing on file here. Any further clues will be hidden inside.

Thanks very much everyone so far for comments - much appreciated.
I'll take some shots this week and upload, but in the meantime if anyone else has any info on Schlesinger or links to where I can read I'd really appreciate it as I still can't find anything out there, unfortunately.
Thanks again, Paul
