Digital piano suitable for installing in old piano

I'm in foreign country here.
I fancy fitting a digital into an old piano to avoid dumping a nice case.
Any ideas for a basic, good 7 octave digital that would lend itself to that fate. Not too many extras would be nice

Quite a topical question at the moment :)
I've no idea to be honest but I hope someone can help you.

What is the length of the cavity on the piano? Depending on the model, the lengths can vary.

For tone and feel, Yamaha is my first choice: again, depending on the sizing, look at the current P-155 or the P-95. The former has the better keybaord action.

Roland FP-7 has recently been replaced by a FP-7F which has resulted in the FP-7 being sold at a reduced price.

I haven't any personal experience with the Kawai range, but the ES-6 has a simple architecture and any reviews I have read are positive.

Vernon,

Just to mention that the models I mentioned above are not the top of the range but I was thinking about the size and weight of the instrument given what you are planning to do with them.

If you want some higher spec models, I can give some of those but they tend to have more features, become bulkier in some instances but in most cases, the best models are much heavier.

Thanks for the helpful replies.
I just want to do a cheap conversion.to give an adequate piano sound so that we don't have to brush up customers who have great grandma's joanna which is a delightful well crafted case but of non-resceable(if thereis such a word)

The menu buttons are similar to the current MP5 or MP8II from Kawai. Could well be. Definitely not Yamaha.
