My Broadwood straight strung upright (no 103173) c1910

Post by louise craven »

Can anyone tell me if my lovely old Broadwood is in any way collectible or just worth a punt on ebay with an advised reserve! Beautiful condition externally, only work internally 5 new dampers and in need of a good dust! Been in our family since the 30's, we'd now like to sell. Any thoughts??

An on-site inspection is required, can't give valuations here as its condition is unknown both externally & internally. A piano tuner will need to examine it and tune it, then be able to advise you on an estimated selling/reserve price. Broadwood is a reputable name, but with it being straight-strung (instead of over-strung), it may not be of any great value, and 5 pieces of damper felt won't add anything either. There are plenty of tuners about who will be pleased to help you.
