John Spencer # 35998
Hi Bill, or anyone else who can help, my wife just bought a John Spencer piano from a friend here in Brisbane, Australia. She is curious to know its age and my web browsing led me here. I know nothing about pianos, but can look for more info on the piano itself if that would help. The number is 35998.
From reading your entries, I understand that little to no John Spencer records have survived so I am not expecting an exact date. Ball-park figure will be more than sufficent to sate her curiosity.
regards,
jeff

I hope she is sated. Dates are about all we have, and the number suggests that your piano was made in 1900.
