Spencer Piano
Post by jaisatchit »
I have just acquired my first piano - a Spencer. It has been well looked after and is in great condition. However it does need to be tuned. This will be undertaken next week. Could you please tell me its year of manufacture. Its serial no is 73953. Thankyou.

The number suggests 1921, and you may find a casting date on the iron frame. The fact that an old piano needs to be tuned doesn't necessarily mean it is capable of being tuned.
