Steinberg baby grand #34337

Post by wayneandnic »

Dear Piano lovers
I have been reading with great interest your article on the Steinberg history. I am also keen to know any possible info regarding a recent aquisition. I have a Steinberg baby grand piano and I wondered if you could tell me anything about its history. I have recently inherited the piano from a relative who unfortunately passed away. I know nothing about it except that it is a Steinberg baby grand and there is a serial number I think which reads 34337 and it also has large embossed lettering at the front where the tuning pegs are which says (Steinberg Berlin). Any information would be very much apreciated especialy which year it was made in. I hope you can help.
Many thanks

There are so any different Steinberg companies, no dates of serial numbers can be any use, and I can never sort them out. This is partly because we have no funding for modern research, my active research is aimed at antique British pianos.
