James Farmer

We have a James Farmer Aston Street Birmingham, Overstrung Upright Iron Grand. We know it came from a black country pub but nothing else. Our son learnt to play on it and we have just brought him a new piano but it will be sad to see the poor old one go.

If anyone can tell us any more about it we would love to know more.

James Farmer does not appear on any of my Birmingham lists so far between 1845-1900, but James Farmer was in Birmingham by 1911. I'll see what I can find in later lists. The vast majority of piano names are not listed on the internet, and many piano names are meaningless anyway. Have a look at
