Kelman Piano

Hello all.

I was wondering if someone could possibly help me with a little information about my piano and it's maker.
I did a search on Google and didn't have much luck.

I currently own a beautiful Kelman piano, but I am being forced to part with it as my living situation is due to change and I will no longer have an space for it, so I am having to sell.

I'm quite curious about the piano and it's maker, and maybe where it was made.
I don't know anything about the piano itself, only that it's a full iron frame with possibly ivory keys, which seem to have a thick plastic/glazing over the top. The most beautiful keys I have ever seen on a piano.

Unfortunately it's not been played much in recent years, and has more become an accessory in my bedroom, where it has now had it's fair scare of cups on it (yes I know, nightmare!), and general scuffs. I have attached a picture here, which I hope isn't against any rules to show you the piano.

I am curious to know if anyone was able to roughly value the piano - I do not expect an exact perfect value of course - and if this is rude to ask then I apologize in advance.

Although not played for a while, as I couldn't afford to tune it - I will be very sad to see this go. When I do eventually sell it I really hope someone can give it the love it deserves - I just wish I knew more about it.

Value is impossible from here.

I can't get anything out of your link, what is the writing on the piano?

The keys are probably celluloid. This often has a ripple effect to simulate ivory.

From your pictures I guess it dates from about 1920.

A piano technician will be able to advise value. It's a bit like buying a car - nobody can value it from pictures. The nearest I can tell you is that unless it has been recently overhauled it is likely to be in the range of £50 to £500. It needs to be inspected in person.
