G. Bent / Crown

Post by scarletangel »

I am looking for info on my piano. My parents bought it for me from a wonderful old lady when I was 6. Ten years later I want information. It is a George P. Bent Upright Crown Orchestral Grand. It has the original ivory keys. It's in very good shape, nothing is broken, and all keys are beautiful. I have a serial numbers for it.. they are 52962. And the patent's are... Nov. 3, 1888... Feb 16, 1895, and March 5, 1895. Now I was wondering when this was approx made, (my guess is it's over 100yrs.) and how much they went for in the olden days. I also would like to obtain the value if I was to auction it now days.. (which will never happen ^_^) I only bought it for 300.00 US Dollars so I hope it's worth that! Any info is appreciated!!![/color]

Bent made his first piano in 1889, and this one was probably made by Crown in 1910. Other than that, you need a local source.
