I have inherited a H Matz Crane and Sons upright piano with the number C&S 13990 on the case and 24751 on the keys does anyone have any information on this piano.

Cranes were the retailers, and their stock number suggests that it was sold shortly after 1891. No precise dates are available for Matz, is there any mention of exhibition medals? Also, have a look at my Datemarks page at www.pianogen.org
