Eavestaff Miniroyal
Hi there I wondered if anyone could help. I have just bought an Eavestaff Mini Royal piano for my daughter and I was wondering if there was any way of dating it. I found 2 numbers on the right hand side of the keyboard - 892725-892726. It seems to have a good sound (although I am no expert whatsoever!) Also, some of the veneer is coming away and I wondered if it would be worthwhile having someone in to restore it. I paid 225 pounds for the piano. It is not the most pretty of pianos but beggars can't be choosers!!
It would be nice to hear that I have not made a foolish purchase.
Looking forward to hearing any ideas/advice that you may have.
Thankyou

Is this the model 90, introduced in 1969, with sloping front hood that lifts up, or the more rectangular miniroyal of the fifties? Those don't seem like serial numbers, have a look inside the bottom.
