Sorry I know this is a piano forum, and it would be more logical to have a picture of our pianos on here... but everyone likes to look at a cute cat or dog!

Heres my dog and myself

Hes looks cute Marius, but he looks like he would eat my dog or cat! He looks very young looking for 8 years old! My dog is 5 and my cat is just over a year old.

Thanks, Gravy is a very playful dog, he loves to play tug and loves squeaky toys, unfortunately he is very yapy at times ( like on the photo! ).

I have heard of him and I new he plays the piano, I didn't know he was grade 6.

I hope he's better on his CD!
He went off time at least twice and his improvisation was very basic. The stuff he was doing with his right hand was basically a jelly roll and some play with a blues scale - remember what I said about learning the blues scale Marius - and this guy was able to make a CD out of those very basic skills.

Hes a seal point ragdoll, I wanted to have a house cat as I have had bad luck with my moggies that were allowed outside. Ragdolls make good house cats as there not as hyper as normal cats, they are very laid back.

The down side is you get lots of hair everywhere, and he is quite a fussy eater!

I would like to see yours too if you don't mind puting a picture of them on here!

Hi Jan!

Your cat and chickens are lovely! We can't have any chickens as we have a vistor called Fred ( or Fryderyk as I like to call him! ) that comes to our garden everyday for his dinner!

Heres a photo of him:

What a handsome foxy! We've had foxes in the area so our girls are in a big fox-proof (we hope) enclosure and there's another run inside it that has an anti-dig skirt around it and their door is locked at night. We only let them free-range when we're out in the garden with them as it's not just foxy, the neighbouring cats would have a go too. Not our cats though, they get on very well with the chickens and like a daytime snooze on top of the chicken house and Chloe the Veggie Cat goes in there to steal sweetcorn.

I could go on and on about my non-human friends. There's also Dylan and Snowy (cats) and a blackbird called Horatio, who was with us for just over a month before he was well enough for release.

I'm relieved you like foxes! ( you know how some people can be ) Thats good you have a good enclosure for your girls, we didn't have a good one when we had quails and the next day they were gone .

I could go on and on about all my non-human friends too! I like the name of your blackbird ! We once looked after a dove ( we called it snowy) untill it was better...

Oh yeah, you get owls near you, we get bats in the summer!

Our owls are programmed to say how much they love each other at about 2am just outside our bedroom window, we seem to have both a male and a female tawny out there recently.

We also get bats; serotines and pipistrelles. I bought my husband a bat detector for his birthday last year so we could listen to them all hunting up and down the garden.

We have several well-used badger runs that go through our garden and often leave nibbles out for them at night. In five years, I've not managed to see one yet as I'm too snoozy to stay up! They've nicked a few huge bramley apples this year but, so far, haven't stolen all my carrots like they did before. It's lucky I don't care about the state of the lawn as they can do some impressive scrapes while they're looking for worms.

Wow! I wish we had badgers near us but alas, we live more in town. I heard badgers like peanuts so maybe you could give them some of them.

I think the bats we get might be pipistrelles as they are quite small, but I don't know much about bats. Aren't bat detectors expensive? because we wanted to buy one once.

Its good Marky and Barry set up this part of the site, as I can now talk about my other favourite thing, wildlife!

I paid about £100 for the bat detector, there are cheaper ones though. This was a "Magenta" and I bought it directly from the makers. They've got them for about £60 now and they sometimes turn up on ebay. They are great fun and pick up all sorts of things that you wouldn't think of, like tyre punctures! They also pick up cricket and grasshopper songs, which is great as it means my husband can hear these things again for the first time in years (he can't hear them normally).

You're right about peanuts and badgers, but they also seem quite happy with leftover bread soaked in water, parmesan rind and spaghetti

I once saw a man on tv feed poppadums to his badgers!

Our foxes love peanuts and often look up at the bird feeders at them! They also love biscuits and eggs. Its funny if go to make a cup of tea in the kitchen ( at night ) and look out of the garden door window Fred is just standing there like a pet dog! wating for someone to give him something, hes quite tame

We once had a kestrel land in the garden after my mum chucked out some mince meat to attract some seagulls; we didn't expect that!

Hey Dave, are you sure you weigh what you weigh? I recon your scales (the weighing type, not the musical type!) are wonky, you look pretty trim to me.

Dave, feel free to post one of those pics of us you took last time we met.. I don't have anything recent to post on this computer It's good to put faces to names. Have liked seeing all the pics of various pets. I'd love to have chickens, we have a big garden they'd love, but I work with bird viruses, so I've signed a bit of paper to say I won't have them

But we do still have 2 dogs, a rabbit, 2 guinea pigs..

So how is everyone doing? I did a spinning class last night.. nearly died!

Had my lesson today - went well I think. Doing F major and D minor scales.. fun !! And I've graduated from a couple of pieces that I've been working on, which is always good
