Help me with Finger positions please
Hi, please can you advise me,
I'm new to playing my cheap keyboard, any can only use my right hand at the moment, I have memorised a few rifts (a-ha take on me, toto africa, the A-team, final countdown). I can do these reasonably well but, am only using thumb and first two fingers.
So I've bought 'the complete keyboard player', however, I'm stuck about which fingers to use, when to move my hand to the new position, I assume the aim is to use all my fingers? - but I'm sure I would striggle to be quick with my little finger.
Maybe you can tell me for the following A-Ha rift, which fingers should I be using?
a a f d d g g g b b c d c c c g f a a
Please let me know, Thanks, Rick (Brigg, North Lincs, UK)

Try that. It's hard to say without seeing what is coming up next in your music. This fingering saves your hand moving too much around the keyboard. You could finish on the two As using finger 4 instead so that you're ready for the repeat.
