Welmar gold letters missing

Post by rscurr »

I have recently acquired a 2nd hand Welmar upright which has a lovely tone to it, but the case is in need of restoration which I have decided to do myself. Unfortunately the "Welmar" gold label on the front of the piano has 2 missing letters.

Does anyone know how I might get hold of replacement letters ? I would be grateful for any help!

You could try www.decalsforpianos.com for good quality transfers. I think the last I bought cost in the region of $18 plus the postage.

Was the Welmar on ebay by any chance?

Fantastic! Thank you very much. I went to the web-site and they have Welmar transfers for $25 that should be exactly right.

I got the piano from a private dealer, not sourced through ebay. I paid around £400 (which I think is a reasonable price) because the case was in such bad condition. It sounds pretty good to me.

even cheaper is getting a local sign shop to make one up for you. Costs around £5.
