H Hicks & Son

Post by j hare »

I was given an upright piano some years ago, it is H. Hicks & son number 965. Please could anyone help me with some history and rough value. It has been much loved.

We have some information about Hicks, the name suggests that it might be turn of the century, but 965 is not likely to be the serial number, it is probably the last 3 digits of it, marked on the case parts to keep them together during manufacture. Have a look at the Numbers page at www.PianoGen.org
