I too have an old upright 'B Squire & Son'. It has a serial number 26261.
Any idea to how old it is? Thanks,

I'm afraid it's not always that simple, because their pianos were made by several factories. It could be late 1890s, does that seem likely? Have a look at the Datemarks page at www.PianoGen.org
