Rich Lipp & Sohn
It seems like others I would like some help in determining the age of a Rich Lipp and Sohn piano. In this case a grand with the serial number 2080 2050 or 2030. Apologies but it is difficult to read and it seems quite old. It has 2 crowns cast on the frame. Is that of any significance? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks Stephen B

Unfortunately, this is too low a number to be dated by the available information, and it is either pre-1875 or (more likely) the wrong number! Have a look at the Numbers page at www.pianogen.org - then the Datemarks page.
