Hoffmann & Co
Good Day
Please help me, I would like to know about a Hoffmann&Co upright piano.
The serial can be 88189 or 4215. It's a walnut color and under damper.
It says Leipzig inside, so I guess it's German make.
Thank you[/i]

There are so many pianos called Hoffmann, Hofmann, Hoffman, Haufmann, Hauptmann etc., that it is impossible to know where they all came from. We have a British one here. No dates of serial numbers are available. Where does it say Leipzig? If it is on the action, this may be the location of the action maker rather than the piano maker. Have a look at the Datemarks page at www.pianogen.org
