Mistake?

Post by amiedom »

I wonder if anyone could help me?
Not knowing much about piano makes but loving playing, I am looking at buying a Kawai KX10 second hand (2005). I haven't yet seen or played the piano but apparently it is in good condition and has been regularly tuned. Is it going to be worth buying beacuse I read in one of the other posts that Kawai's can tend to have a rattle? Is it a good make and/or model to be spending my cash on?
Help, I'm confuddled! :?

All depends on how much they're asking.

The design is good, build quality in 2005 not as good as nowadays, but by no means disatrous. I think the KX models are built in Indonesia rather than Japan.

Thanks for your reply. Went to see the piano today and it is in immaculate condition! It plays beautifully and just needs a really good tune. I phoned Kawai and they said it was made in China then shipped to Japan to have its strings and hammers fitted. I'm very happy with my purchase. :D
