Eavestaff Mini Piano
I am the proud owner of an Eavestaff mini piano which I acquired second hand at the age of 7 (50 years ago!).
Unfortunately, having been moved several times to different houses with and without central heating it now requires a new board etc etc.
We are having difficulty finding someone to do the work even if we are prepared to pay for it.
It is of sentimental value but I wonder if I am kidding myself and it really isnt worth doing anything with (opportunities to play it have been limited in recent years but I had hoped to do more now that I have retired).
Any comments will be appreciated - in particular how to find a reputable restorer willing to deal with the vagaries of this small piano if we decide to proceed.
Many thanks & best wishes to all.

They're not worth anything really, unless the casework is special. The cost of restoration will be more than final value.

Why am I not surprised - it take twice as long just to do the action but....... I did go out to a Kemble Min the other month what had been done by these guys Titterington Peck Pianos must have cost a boom as she had the case polyesterd as well as some action work.Polly_McN wrote: We are having difficulty finding someone to do the work even if we are prepared to pay for it. .
