Erard Piano Age
I bought an Erard piano at an antique store about 20 years ago and had it refinished and tuned, although have not done anything with the internal workings at this point as it sounds fine for my purposes. It has 85 keys and the serial number is 65079. It has candelabra shelfs that pull out. There are no other markings on it other than the Erard name. Can anyone tell me the age of this piano and whether it was made in Paris or London?
Thanks much.
I forgot to say that my Erard is a grand.

The number is too high for a London Erard, so it's probably Paris circa 1890 if you have found the right number - there may be several. Have a look at the Numbers link at www.pianogen.org
