Piano age & price
I live in The Netherlands & due to a possible move I have taken the difficult decision to sell my much loved piano. It is a John Spencer & Co number 38993.
1) I would like to know the actual age of the piano?
2) I would like to know what price I can realistically ask for it?
It has been tuned regularly & is in excellent condition. The piano tuner said it is approx 100 yrs old & value approx E1100. I would question both?
I would be most grateful for any advice. Many thanks.

The number suggests 1905, but Bill reckons those numbers can be a few years out. If your tuner was right about the date, he's probably right about the price too. If you don't believe him, get a second tuner in and compare. Either way, a Netherlands-based tuner is far more likely to know the value of a piano in the Netherlands than us lot in the UK!
