Panzer (but not the tank)

Post by tuna »

Hi,
Does anyone know much at all about the Panzer system found in Ernst Kaps uprights?

Was it any good or just a gimmicky type of thing?

Saw one the other day, serial number 18000 and odd, 1896 according to Pierce's. Somehow, the piano didn't seem that old! Is Pierce's 100% accurate on non USA makers?

Cheers!

Pierces seems extrememy UNreliable on a lot of British makes; a Berry I tuned the other day with horrible squeaky 'floating centres' (aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh...) was made in 1937 according to Mr P...

Pierce isn't even reliable on American serial numbers. Take what you read there with a pound of salt.
