Robert Cocks piano

Post by cindy95900 »

Hi, I have a Robert Cocks piano. Was this company begun from c1823 to 1904? I'm not sure about it, but I learn about a little history of this brand piano. In 1896, Augener's acquired the business of Robert Cocks and company, then of new Burlington Street, and in 1904 the two companies.
Augener's had bought the building, and pianos continued to be manufactured here until 1931. Does someone knowns about this Robert Cocks pianos history? This piano was very beautiful. I guess this piano was made c1860 around. Handcraft piano leds and in front of piano, with silk. ivory. thanks again.

It is difficult to date Cocks' pianos accurately unless they are marked inside. Are there any addresses on it?
