buying an old piano
Hi needing some tips on buying an old piano. I am just starting to learn and wondered if anyone could give me any advise on on what to look for. We live in West Yorkshire and are wanting to spend around 2000 pounds. Are there any makes we should be looking out for. We went to a dealers yesterday and they seemed to be about 700 pounds and the next ones were 3000. I have heard German pianos are very good. Sorry for my ignorance - but HELP !
Thank you Jo

For £2000 you can buy new - when it comes to second-hand like cars names are not much use. Its how is been looked after that counts.
You need to seek out a local tuner to look at any pianos you intend to buy they also may have a client who is selling.
