Dunmo, Ellis & Hill

Post by New house »

I recently moved into a house and aquired an upright piano. Dunmo, Ellis & Hill is printed on the underside of the key cover and King Street, HART & SON, Saffron Walden is on an engraved plate. I am wondering if this gives you any idea about the piano, or the age, or where it is from. I do not play the piano, and am thinking of getting rid of it. I am welcome to any suggestions.
Thanks

No particular suggestions about selling. Dunmo Ellis & Hill were in London from about 1890 to the thirties. Hart was there from 1836 until the 1900s.

Is the piano worth anything? It is need of tuning and a couple of the black keys are popped off. It is a beautiful piano.
Thanks
