Chappell piano
Post by wolfie_girl2000 »
I've recently aquired a Chappell piano from the school where I teach. They were going to throw it out! The serial number is 67625. Any ideas how old it is? The condition is poor but with some TLC I hope to restore it and learn to play.

The number suggests 1922, but have a look at the items on numbers and datemarks at pianogen.org
The first question is - how loose are the tuning pins? A piano this old needs to be checked by a tuner before you get involved in major work
