Hi, I have a piano which I am thinking of restoring for my nephew (slight damage to surface, tuning etc) but don't know if it's worth doing as I don't know what its value is. Inside the piano there are several markings which are as follows;

FRIEDRICH EHRBAR
K.U.K.HOF.U.KAMMER
CLAVIERFABRIKANT WIEN M.19
10673

Appreciate any help anyone can provide. Thanks

Ehrbar is sometimes described as being among the top three of Vienna's hundreds of piano manufacturers, and is said to have been the first in Austria to use a cast-iron frame in piano construction, but very little is known or published about them. Clink on the link below.
