My wife and I just bought a piano and was wondering if there was anyone that could help us figure out what it is and how old? there is only one set of numbers on it - 7585. That number is on a piece of wood behind the wires and is also hand written in pencil on other parts of the piano itself. The only other marks are the names George Porter, and under that West Croydon. If anybody can help please let me know. Thanks

I have nothing ready on computer about this particular Porter, but I'll see what I can find. Numbers are no use without a maker's name, and often no use then! See
