I have seen a YAMAHA DISKLAVIER UPRIGHT PIANO U SERIES and was thinking of trading up, or down depending on your viewpoint, from my standard U1.
My U1 is a standard Ebony U1 with Serial Number 2,091,437 - searching this site says it was made around 1976. Firstly is that correct?
Second - what would it be worth UK Pounds assuming perfect tuned home use condition?
Third - Anyone got any views on the Disklavier? i.e. Do it or don't do it?!
I would like more sounds and backing to help inspire me and my daughter continue learning Piano. The silent mode looks attractive too!
I've been playing since I was 7 and have been through a variety of Keyboards, Synths, Clavinovas and now the U1 which I thought would stop my quest for sound but it hasn't!
Look forward to your views and advice. Thanks in advance - great site by the way!
Yamaha U1 or U1 Disklavier?
