Lighte & Co.
Post by ladybugtra »
I have recieved a piano from a family member but do not know much about it. The manufacturer is Lighte & Co. from New York. It is a vintage upright. I did find the serial number and it is 49231. I would like any information on the company but I really hope to find out how old it is.

Lighte's original firm was established in 1848, but after 1848, there were several partnerships with other people. Lighte & Co. were making player pianos in the 1900s. We have no further information so far, and your best hope is local history sources in New York.
