Rushworth & Dreaper
Hello All, For the last few years I have owned an R&D Boudoir Grand Piano. The company is unable to give me any information on it even though I have the serial number. This is a pity as I am now moving to a tiny house in London and have to sell it. It's made of Rosewood and appears to have been made circa 1930s. I understand that R&D are organ builders and wondered therefore if anyone could approximately date a time it was made? Any information about this piano that can be given would be excellent. I feel completely in the dark.

I have received your email, and would be able to deal with this in more detail that way, but your email address was rejected. Most pianos cannot be dated by numbers. Circa 1905, Edwin Rushworth's business merged with Dreaper's, to become Rushworth & Dreaper. All I can say so far is that your piano must be after that date.
