A. Taylor was established in 1890, and was Taylor & Son by 1914. They were a limited company by 1922.

1890 Established.
1911 Alfred Dolge “Pianos and their makers” lists A.Taylor & Co. as bona fide makers.
May be the same as Alfred TAYLOR & Co., London
1899 Marlborough Works, Marlborough Road, Holloway N.
1911 Alsen Road, Holloway N.
1914 Music Trade Directory lists Alfred Taylor & Son, Alsen Road, Sondeburg Road, Seven Sisters’ Road, Holloway N. - Piano Makers.
1922 Alfred Taylor & Son, Ltd. listed among the guarantors for research work at the Northern Polytechnic.
1936 Alsen Road again.
1938 ad: Vertical, Overstrung, and Player Pianos, for Home and Export.
As for valuation, read from the top of the forum page.

Nobody anywhere can guess the value or condition of a piano without inspecting it on the spot, and tuning it, so your local tuner is the best person to ask. Here in Britain, unrestored antique pianos have very little value, and I am offered several each year for nothing, but I have no idea what your piano is like, I haven't seen it.
