Post by shotputtman »
Hello to all. I have just been left an old piano which states it is made by G-Klingmann & Co 1802. Can anyone help me with information on this beautifull piece as i cant seem to find anything especially with this early date ?? Any ideas or info will be greatfully received.
Thank you Sean

Pianos are hardly ever marked with a simple year of manufacture, especially on the outside. We only know of Klingmann between the 1880s and 1920s, what exactly does it saty about 1802? If it is an upright piano, it will not be that early anyway.
