Yamaha MC90 and UX10BL

Post by eric5001 »

Hi,

Does anyone know about these pianos? Are they Japanese U1s? How much are they worth if about 15 years old, in reasonable condition? Are there particular problems we should check before buying?

Thanks,

Eric

1959-1965 Yamaha U1D

1970-1971 Yamaha U1F
1971-1972 Yamaha U1G
1972-1980 Yamaha U1H
1980-1982 Yamaha U1M
1982-1987 Yamaha U1A
1987-1989 Yamaha U10BI
1989-1994 Yamaha U10A
1994-1997 Yamaha U100

the X1

1980-1982 Yamaha YUS
1982-1988 Yamaha UX1
1988-1990 Yamaha UX10BI
1990-1994 Yamaha UX10A
1994-1998 Yamaha UX100

Pass on the MC90. The usual problems spring loops and tuning pins with all older U1s after 90’s should not be a problem However, all depends who has played it and how it has been looked after if you Are buying privately get a tuner to give it the once over

as to price U1 tend to go for 2400.00 upwards for a 1970 so a 1990s which don't come up that often these days about 2900.00 depending on condition
