The P121 will probably be a better bet.
Most 30 year old U3s aren't 'reconditioned' at all, since they last well enough without it, and will still look like new..... but if it *has* been then you should ask yourself:
Why was the work needed?
Was the restorer any good?
Is it a "high mileage ex-driving school car" ( ie used in a Japanese music school for 23hrs a day 366 days out of every year of its 30 year life? !)
If the vendor is claiming 'reconditioning' has taken place, make him show you what's been done. Get an independent local tuner to take a look at it.
