The german city of Berlin was a major piano-making centre, but I can't recall a piano name "Berlin", and it is unlikely to be a real make. See

Could it be that the name has fallen off or worn away, leaving just the town? As for finding a 200-year-old piano in a "small rural town in western Canada", that is perfectly possible, but a piano of 1806 would not be anything like the ones you normally see, nor would it be simple to re-pin. Email me.
