PRODUKTIV GENOSSENSCHAFT pianos
Post by yves_couvert »
Could you tell me where i would be able to find technical data on these pianos ? I have recently bought one (probaly early 1920's - 30's /will have to check with serial number...) and the technician trying to repair (rebuilt?) seems to be completely lost (he had never seen one before which according to what i read here was no wonder !). I'd like to help him - and learn more as well - so any info / data would be just fine ! Thanks for your help and cooperation...
Looking for any info / technical data about "PRODUKTIV GENOSSENSCHAFT" pianos...having bought one recently that needs to be rebuilt...

If you search this forum, you will find two postings about these pianos, but we have no particular access to viennese information. As for technical information, no original archives are available, but your tuner should be able to deal with technical problems. What kind of information is it that you seek?

Thanks for your reply.
I had read the 2 preceeding messages written on this site.
Any technical data and/or complementary historical facts would be just fine if anyone has some... (Have you any idea who i may contact in Vienna for instance?)
According to the serial number the piano was built around 1906. It seems that tuning it perfectly will be tricky but this is no wonder for that type of old instruments i guess...
I have searched the web but have found nothing on Austrian or German sites... but i carry on...
Thanks again
