Adolph Schuhmann,Berlin
Post by Tony Beaton »
I have a tatty old upright piano that I am about to scrap unless anyone can give me a good reason not to.Free to a good home unless it turns out to be of special interest!"Adolph Schuhmann,Berlin" is written in gold letters under the lid. There is a faded ink stamp inside that appears to say "Fritz Kruger" with an umlaut. The metal frame is marked "JHC10".There are other markings inside,"M7911","4510","507","1810","1Y2",and "Shuman 7911"(spelt differently from the gold lettering). The piano used to belong to my Gran who lived in Eastbourne,England and was bought secondhand in 1957.I have managed to find out something about Fritz Kruger from the site but would be interested if anyone has any info on Adolph Schuhmann.I am in Dorset,England. Thanks for your time.
