Articulation

I'm taking a piano pedagogy class. Our instructor has assigned a paper on "articulation;" i.e., what it is, how to teach it. She lectured us, but of course expects that we do outside research as well. There is VERY LITTLE written about this that is easily accessible ... do any of you experienced teachers out there have wisdom you're willing to share?

Specifically: how do you teach two-note slurs, the different types of staccato, legato, phrasing?

Thank you!

Whenever I come across a word I haven't heard before (pedagogy)I have to investigate further (my education, it seems, is lacking somewhat  ). My dictionary lists pedagogue, which I have come across before...school teacher esp a pedantic one.
My investigation on pedagogy led me to a web page which you may or may not find useful, but I am posting the link so you can take a look.
