Sure it's not an Ernst KAPS? A famous old maker from Dresden.

Knapp was an American maker, so Brahms was less likely to have played one of those, and I'm not sure that there was an Ernst connected with that company.

Here in the UK, the phrase "baby grand" almost guarantees that it is not a valuable antique. We never see pianos over here by James Knapp or this one. The idea that only fifteen of them were made is hard to believe, most pianos were mass-produced by then, and such statements are usually made by desperate salesmen. Being told that Brahams may have played it is of no monetary value unless there is proof. See
