dave, i also have a HP Nelson upright piano and wondered the same thing. I did some researching a few years ago. I don't remember it exactly but from what i remember HP Nelson joined with another company in Chicago in the early 1900s. after which was bought out by ?Yamaha? much later (like 1960?). I found also found what i think is the serial number in the same area that you found yours, 20155. but i also found some other numbers in the the bottom panel. Thats really all i know. i am basicly in the same boat as you, i want to know if its worth restoring and what it would sale for. if i find anything else out i will keep you posted.

I wouldn't want you to read this in the wrong tone of voice, but it's no use asking someone on the other side of the world whether your piano is worth restoring, ask a technician who can look at it there - on the spot! As for the numbers,
12,000 suggests 1912
20,000 suggests 1915
12,000 suggests 1912
20,000 suggests 1915
