The Soho Square address was used for a very long period, so doesn't help us with the date. Apart from the obvious fact that it was already around in 1873, it is often true that an old piano would have a series of tunings, perhaps three times a year, when it was first bought. These dates would be marked inside, so this may possibly be an 1873 piano. The published numbers are sometimes misleading, but in this instance, the number suggests 1872, which is probably correct.
