Hi,
hopefully this isn't heresy, but I'm interested in hearing opinions on the Yamaha GT (Grantouch) series of digital pianos.
As I understand it, they are digital pianos as far as the sound-generating bit goes, but they use a standard Yamaha grand piano action for the keys. This way, you get the feel of a proper piano (or much closer to it, anyway) without the size, weight and cost of a grand.
I assume that the sound, being digital, won't compare with the real thing, but for a small room, or an upstairs flat (the situation I'm considering it for) it would be loads better than, for example, a Clavinova.
Does anybody have any experience with these, or any comments they can add?
thanks,
Steve
