John Broadwood and Son

Hey, I have a piano, and I dont know anything about it, except its John Broadwood and Sons and the serial number (49777), im really starting to get annoyed all i wanna know is how old it is etc.. can anyone tell me of any places or people i can contact concerning it?

No need to get annoyed, there's plenty of info on the net, such as

The number suggests about 1912 if it's a grand, or 1878 if it's a cottage upright, in which case the top key is probably dated on the side of it.

Laura-Jayne if you had search this site you would have found John Broadwood and Sons website which is hosted here with all the info you need on Broadwoods www.uk-piano.org/broadwood
And if you type in Broadwood pianos in Google it comes up number 1

The thing is I have looked thru the site, I've been on John Broadwood and son, and there is nothing whatsoever there to help me, thats why i posted!!!

I've been on there to check. If you press the SERIAL NUMBERS button, then go down the page to whatever tyepe of piano you have, the dates are given for its numbers, at 5-year intervals. The estimates I gave you were based on the same numbers.
