The fsmous writer's family included several piano firms in London and Birmingham, but Henry was the main maker. I can quote for printing general infortmation, or compile a report based on photos.

We also have a one of these Pianos. Bought for £20 about 10 years ago, it is in good condition.

Are they rare or collectable?

It would be interesting to have some photos for my files. Although victorian pianos are endlessly fascinating to me, they have little value in the UK, and much depends on the report of your tuner.

I shall take a few images of our Henry Tolkien Pianoforte when i get time this weekend - it is a beautiful piece, with fret work etc still largely intact. It still plays very well after all this time too
