Gebruder Sohne piano
Hi, can any one give me some advice, I have been offered a Gebruder Sohne upright(1920's) piano for £2000 it was renovated several year ago but has not been used hardly at all since. My knowledge of pianos is very limited and I don't know if I should consider this one or a brand new one! I have been told German or English piano's are the better quality and to stay away from Jappenesse made pianos?
Many thanks for any advice.

I think someone is talking nonsense to you.Get hold of a reliable dealer to advise you.
I wouldnt part with more than £200 for a twenties piano unless it was super special. For that money you could get a decent modern Kawai if you looked carefully

Thanks for your answer, may I ask if you know anything about that make of piano please? The Gubruder Sohne ( which has been completely revamped, would that make much different to the price you would pay for it?)
Many thanks

Re: Gebruder Sohne piano
Gebrueder Soehne is a new one on me(keine Umlauten auf meine pc!). and not a piano I've met I think. I really feel it is needing very careful examination by an expert before parting with ANY money. A wide berth is indicated especially at the price mentioned.
