W.Hoffmann P126

Post by barefoot »

I wonder if somebody had a close look at or even played the W.Hoffmann P126 upright. It fits my budget and I’m very tempted to order it.

Any advice will be much appreciated.

Any request like this needs to be backed up with the relevant link/ price tag / photos & general information about the piano (for comparisons). Just by stating a piano name and number doesn't necessarily rely on a book of information. In other words, whatever you have seen - we need to see.

This post is more than half a year old, so maybe no longer interesting... Anyway, I once went to the Bechstein dealer in my city and tested about 6 different Hoffmann uprights (made in Czech Republic under Bechstein surveillance). I found all of them disappointing in sound. Furthermore, touch and action were too "heavy" and not very precise. None of them met my needs. I then played a Bechstein upright - big difference. I would buy.
