Help with veneer problems.

Hi, I'm new here and hoping for some advice.

We bought a digital piano for my son about 8 months ago and when we bought we found the veneer had lifted quite significantly at the front. It's right on the curve so difficult to reglue and the veneer is brittle and breakable and seems to have shrunk slightly.

The piano is now in our living room as my son has developed quite a passion for playing and we'd like to get it looking a bit nicer if possible. Any suggestions?

Please provide an image of the veneer/ cracks/ damage etc.... not the buttons display, to give me a better idea.
There is usually only one solution to this problem, but need to see all the damaged veneer.

I can't see any problems with the veneer in this photo.... taken at distance, it looks like any other digital piano.
Your original post mentioned about cracks in the veneer/ lifting veneer.... where are these photos?? !!
I suggest you contact Roland for a quote.

I'm sorry you can't see the veneer damage in this photo. It's very clear to me, the damage is across the whole front of the piano and you can see the chipboard showing underneath. I thought it would be useful having a photo of the whole piano as you can then see the whole of the damage also. There is also an option to zoom in on the picture to see parts more clearly on most computer screens/devices.

Thank you for looking anyway. I have found s local piano repairer who I'm hoping will be able to fix it for me.

Ah yes I see where you mean now.... though that's not the front of the piano, but the edge of the top lid area.... the front is where the stool is. I thought the light areas were just a design thing or trim....... didn't spot it at first. Even so, I cannot see the veneer type/ thickness, zoom just blurs it even more. The repair guy will need to get up close to inspect it.

I think this is an adhesive photographed veneer - like fablon (common for digitals), easy to do. If however it is proper wood veneer, then a tricky repair. In all, I would suggest all the top lid is re-covered, as patching would create different shades on the new areas. Piano may need to be taken away for dismantling.
